Discovery Days – Wetlands Wildlife
ACCPF brings The Outdoor Connection Trailside Learning Center to Wetlands Edge for Discovery Days, the first in a new community nature exploration series. Discovery Days features FREE hands-on learning opportunities for all ages focused on a range of nature & environmental science topics.
The inaugural Discovery Days event highlights Wetlands Wildlife! Stop by The Outdoor Connection to learn more the animals that call the American Canyon Wetlands their home. Featured animals include the salt marsh harvest mouse, the jackrabbit, the great horned owl and everyone’s favorite…the river otter. Discovery activities include owl pellet discovery under the microscope, habitat matching, nature scavenger hunts, art and more!
Adorable stuffed wetland critters will also be available for “adoption” with an end-of-year donation of $25 to the American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation
