Wetlands Conservation

In 2025, the Parks Foundation, Teen WILD, and the community have removed over 600lbs of trash from the American Canyon Wetlands. Teen WILD volunteers gave away over 50 Stow-It Don’t Throw-It fishing line containers to help fisherman keep broken fishing line out of the Napa River and local wetlands.

To kick off Earth Month, the Parks Foundation and Teen WILD invite you to join us for our first ever Invasive Ice Plant removal project.  The Wetlands event will be on Saturday, April 5th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Register HERE to help!

Places To Get Inspired

!

Staff Favorites

Andrea – Bartholomew Park   Located in Sonoma and perfect for a short hike, a picnic & wine tasting too! Dog friendly & adjacent to  Bartholomew Estate Winery
Joy – Doran Beach Only an hour and a half away, but it feels like another world. This family- and dog-friendly beach has great walking trails and even better outdoor dining options right on Bodega Bay. As an extra bonus, you can stop for amazing ice cream at Sweet Scoops in Sonoma!
Janelle – Mt. Tamalpais Mount Tam has amazing trails.  I love to hike to the top and take in the magical ocean views.
Tammy – Lake Hennesy There are so many wonderful places to birdwatch, but if I had to pick, it would be Lake Hennesy, the Conn Creek side, because it’s always so peaceful there.
Patricia – Matt Davis Loop I love to go on road trips with our airstream, hiking, and fishing all over California.  Closer to home, my family loves the Matt Davis – Steep Ravine Loop to Stinson Beach and the Cataract Falls trail on Mount Tam.
